Villa Kudus is in an idyllic location, discreetly tucked away, yet only 2 minutes’ walk from Berawa Beach in Canggu, south-west Bali, an area traditionally known for its rice paddies but more recently home to many new cafes and warungs that are popping up in this increasingly fashionable area.
Berawa Beach has some of Bali’s best surf breaks and even if you’re not a keen board rider it’s still a magical spot to watch the waves at any time of the day while chilling out at Finn’s Beach Club or by sitting under a beach umbrella enjoying inexpensive drinks at one of the many local beachside cafe on Berawa beach. Best of all, a stroll along the beach will bring you to some of the most famous restaurants and bars on the island. Head north and you’ll be on your way to some family friendly fun at the Beach House on Echo Beach where you can select your seafood and watch it being grilled right before your eyes. For the more adventurous walker, head south towards Seminyak and you’ll be sipping cocktails at W Hotel, Potato Head Beach Club or just a few hundred metres further and you’ll be at the iconic La Lucciola Restaurant or the ultra-trendy Ku De Ta.
Sophisticated Seminyak, with its world-class dining, bars, cafes, spas and shopping, is just a 15-minute drive away.
